Simple machines forum problems: No rediret after login or logout. Blank page and need to refresh?

Dear all, I am here today to seek for your help:

I have successfully set up the SMF, however, the only problem is that:

After I fill the login information, and wait for some seconds, the forum redirect me to a blank page, then I HAVE to refresh the page before I can view the forums.

Could you please tell me what is that problem and how to fix.

In your settings, check your absolute path for the forum.

The relative path and absolute path are not the same thing.

For example, suppose you have the domain name web.com

Your relative path to the forum may be something like /forum; i.e., to get to the forum, you visit http://web.com/forum.

But your absolute path, aka file system path, is the full directory path on the server. It will be something like this (minus the spaces):

home/ user/ public_html/ forums

Check with your Web host for the right absolute path.
